About

At PSG iTech, Women Empowerment cell is committed to empower girl students, to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for girl students and staff. With a view to taking up women's issues and problems, the cell aims at creating awareness of their rights and duties. It also provides a platform for women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves.


Objectives

  • Women empowerment cell shall work towards enhancing the confidence am ong girl students with special care for those belonging to rural background.
  • We are committed to help economically weak girl students by providing details about different scholarships.
  • Women empowerment cell works to establish guidelines of the institution to take actions in redressing the compliance related to gender imbalances and sexual harassment.
  • We strive hard to provide intellectual guidance and self defence training for social and mental upliftment of women as students and staff.
  • We conduct awareness programs on h ealth and hygiene, women protection, sexual harassment, social rights and privileges of women in India.
  • We recognize the importance of supporting a diversity of talent, irrespective of gender. PSG iTech is dedicated to providing equal opportuni ties for all individuals to thrive and excel in their academic and professional pursuits.
