Department of Mathematics

Objectives


Our objective is to make our students as proficient engineers who can command engineering fundamentals including experimental, analytical, computational, and design capabilities. The Department of Mathematics is a Supporting Department to all Engineering Branches.

Upon completion of the prescribed program of study in mathematics, the students should be able to:
  • recognize that mathematics is an art as well as a dominant foundational tool of science with boundless applications.
  • demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical concepts and axiomatic underpinnings of mathematics.
  • Demonstrate competency in mathematical modeling of complex phenomena, problem solving and decision making.
  • express a level of proficiency in quantitative and computing skills sufficient to meet the demands of society.
