The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized a two day National workshop on "FPGA BASED SYSTEM DESIGN USING VIVADO DESIGN SUITE and ZYNQ-7000 SoC" on 18.12.2018 & 19.12.2018. 17 participants from different engineering colleges and students of PSGiTECH participated in the workshop. Mr.Rajesh.M, Application Engineer (Xilinx & MentorGraphics) was the resource person for the workshop from CoreEL Technologies, Bangalore. The major topics covered are Implementation of digital circuits in XILINX FPGA, HARDWARE DEBUGGING, IP integration, Embedded design Flow, adding AXI peripheral using IP catalog, creating and adding our own custom Peripheral IP, Interfacing Peripheral Modules, Stepper Motor and Wifi module with Zynq/FPGA boards. Finally Creation of an HTML page and Visualizing of the data in the webserver was demonstrated. On the whole, the 2 day workshop on "FPGA BASED SYSTEM DESIGN USING VIVADO DESIGN SUITE and ZYNQ-7000 SoC" provided a deeper understanding into the FPGA based Embedded system design concepts for developing the projects and research works.
