Objective

Welcome to English Literary Forum - The English Literary Forum (ELF) functions with an objective to enhance not only the communications skills of students but also to improve their critical thinking skills through wide range of activities like creative writing, play-reading, performing, discussions and debates on texts, narratives, and films. In addition to these, ELF strives to help students to overcome their stage fear and hone their personality through effective communication and professional skills.

Report on Play-reading activity organized by the English Literary Forum (ELF) on 25 August 2021

The English Literary Forum (ELF) organized a play-reading activity for the students to improve their pronunciation, pauses, and intonation on 25 August 2021. Around seven students from various branches participated in the event and read the dialogues of different characters in the play entitled The Gates of Heaven, a comical play. The session helped them to learn the role of modulation of their voices and understand the significance of stress in speaking skills. In addition, they learnt the tonal variations and pauses in delivering the dialogues. Overall, students enjoyed the play-reading session as it involved different dialogues for different characters.

Let's Talk is an initiative of English Literary Forum (ELF) held on 10th August 2016. The aim of this programme is to give a platform for students to express freely on any topic of their choice. It is modeled on TED Talks. The first speaker was Mr C.S. Nagaraj who spoke exceptionally well on "Billion Dollar Decisions made by CEOs".
