Industrial Visit to ACE Components and Electronics Private Limited, Karnataka on 01st August 2019
Day 1
A Batch of II year EEE students of strength of 51and two faculty coordinators visited the ACE Components and Electronics Private Limited Industry at Mysuru on 01.08.2019. ACE Components and Electronics Private Limited,a Private film, is one of the top most carbon film resistor dealers. The main focus of the industry is to prepare different types of resistors as given below.
1.Carbon film resistor
2.Metal film resistor
3.Zero ohm resistor
4.Metal oxide film resistor
5.Flame proof resistor

The guide gave us a clear picture on resistor basics and its manufacturing.

Mica chips are heated in Silicon tubes for 3 hours at 1000 degree Celsius. The final product from the above process is capped on both sides using metal. Then copper wires are welded on both sides of resistor. Finally the resistors are coded with four colour bands.
It was a very useful industrial visit and the staff of the industry also took his maximum effort to explain each stage of resistor manufacturing.


Day 2 | 02.08.2019
COMPANY | JVS Electronics Private Limited.
A batch of 2nd year EEE students of strength 51 and two staff coordinators visited the JVS Electronics Private Limited at Bangalore on 03.08.2019. JVS Electronics Private Limited, a private firm, is one of the one of the leading relay manufacturers, supplying products in India and abroad. The relays manufactured in the company are: 1.Numerical relays 2.Current relays 3.Voltage relays 4.Auxillary and tripping relays 5.Control panel accessories
MANUFACTURING PROCESS: The relays are manufactured using wires, before. But nowadays it is manufactured using PCBs. The various relay components are welded in the Printed Circuit Board. A number of PCBs are stacked on one another and they are made interactive.
Then the boards are kept inside a metal box and the metal box is provided with input and output pins and the manufactured relays are used in large electrical machines and protect them from varying voltages and current.
It was a very useful industrial visit. The staff took maximum effort to explain each stage of the manufacturing of relays.
