The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized the Alumni webinar series on July 6 & 7 2020. The first webinar was by NishanthSanjeevi from 2015 - 2019 batch of PSG iTech on July 6th (5 - 6 pm). Around 100 participants from various branches of the PSG iTech like ECE, CSE, EEE joined the webinar. The topic of the webinar was "The transformation from student to a professional". The important points that were portrayed are:
1. Usage of mails for official Communication
2. Teamwork - He emphasized the fact that at any point of time, if you are in a dilemma to choose, always choose what is good for the team.
3. Being punctual at all times which is a sign of professionalism
4. Experiment the innovative ideas in the form of projects during the college time.
5. Documentation is very important. He told that he never gave importance to documentation until he came to a corporate life. It is very important to document while you code, in order to look back at a later point in time.


He also mentioned that the formula for success at work is "If something needs to be done, it has to be done". Along with that he shared his work experience at Microsoft and his contribution to Surface Pro.
After his session, he answered various questions asked by the participants about placements, scope of industry, important areas to focus in programming,etc

In the Alumni Webinar series conducted by the Department of ECE, on 7th July 2020, the speaker was a successful alumna. We had Ms.Srreenandhini from Qualcomm, who belonged to the 2014-18 batch. She is a person who is known for her excellent communication and management skills. She was an Anna University rank holder. She has been working in Qualcomm for nearly two years now and her work is mainly related to Silicon Validation. She delivered a motivational talk on the topic "Elixir of Victory".The webinar was attended by 90 participants from various departments in PSG iTech. It mainly focused on the qualities that we need to possess in order to achieve our dreams and also about some inspiring personalities. She discussed about many qualities such as leadership, self-respect, hard work and team coordination. She also told about a lot of life skills that we must inculcate. It was amazing to hear such wonderful information. She also highlighted some inspiring role models in her life such as MalalaYousafzai and also combined the session with a lot of thought-provoking instances. She also shared with us her placement experience and about how her participation in Let's Talk and the projects that she did helped her ace the interview. It was very beneficial to the students. The session was insightful and helped the students to learn essential qualities and life skills. It was an awe inspiring talk!
