The inauguration of the Science and Humanities Association, a multidisciplinary consortium, was held on 13.02.2015 at 3.00 pm. The association was honoured by the presence of Dr. Radhakrishnan who inaugurated the association. The chief guest Dr. P. Radhakrishnan, Director, PSG Institute of Advanced Studies, in his inaugural address stressed on the importance of succeeding in academics and also in sports. Dr. P. Radhakrishnan, also emphasized that it is essential for students to master the basic sciences and urged the students to be strong in their fundamentals. His speech created awareness on the importance of science and humanities for engineers.
Guest Lecture on "Effect of the Environmental Impact on one's Perspective" on 3rd October, 2018
The inaugural function of the Science and Humanities Association (SHA) was held on
03rd October 2018 at the college premises. The special invitee who delivered
the guest lecture was Dr.S.Sampath, Medical Physicist, Department of Oncology,
New York on the topic "Effect of the Environmental Impact on one's Perspective".
200 students, 30 faculty and staff members were benefited
The Science and Humanities Association of PSGiTech celebrated National
Science day-2018 with the theme "Science and Technology for a
Sustainable Future" on 27th February 2018. The Special Invitee
who delivered the guest lecture was Dr. C.Karpagam, Senior Scientist,
Central Institute for Cotton Research, Coimbatore on the topic "Ethics in Science".
Seventy students and twelve faculties were benefitted.

31st January 2018. Dr. N. Muthukumaraswamy, Professor and Head, Department of Physics,
Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore was the esteemed speaker of the session.
National Science day celebrations with the theme "Science and Technology for Specially-abled persons" on 1st March 2017
To mark the discovery of Raman effect by Dr. Sir C.V. Raman, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research,
Neelambur, Coimbatore organised the National Science Day on 1st March 2017 with the theme "Science and Technology
for Specially-abled persons". The chief guest of the day, "Kalaimamani" S.R Krishnamoorthy

The Special Invitee who delivered the lecture was Dr. R. Arumuganathan, Prof & Head, Department of Mathematics,
PSG College of Technology. The topic of the lecture was, "Mathematics everywhere - Enjoy and Apply".
