To commemorate the birth anniversary of great mathematician
          Srinivasan Ramanujan, the Department of Mathematics
          organized the National Mathematics Day on 22  December 2021.

          Dr. T Velusamy, Former Principal, Government Arts College,
          Paramakudi, served the chief guest and delivered a talk on
          “Positive Thoughts in Younger Minds”. He highlighted about the
          Ramanujan’s result on infinity. Around 80 students from all
          branches
          branchesof engineering departments actively participated in
          this lecture. Dr. V. Jailaxmi, Professor and Head, Department of
          Mathematics explained about the magical number 1729 as the   Dr. T.Velusamy, Chief guest, addressing the students on “Positive

          As part of the celebration, Math’s Quiz: ‘Cipher 1729’ was conducted by the ‘iTech Intellect Quiz Club”. About 55 first year students
          from all the branches participated in the competition and the prizes were distributed.
