A team of 3 year Electrical and Electronics Engineering students, bagged Runner-Up in a grand challenge competition,

SAMVEDAN 2021, conducted by IIT-M Pravartak Technologies Foundation, in collaboration with Sony India Software Centre Pvt.
Ltd. They were also offered an entrepreneurial opportunity for a start-up of their own.A total of 1500 teams participated, out of
which 8 teams were shortlisted for the Grand Finale round, held in IIT-M Research Park, Chennai on the 22 of March 2022.

During the finale, PSG iTech team demonstrated the prototype under the project, ‘Design and Development of IoT Enabled
Platform for conducting Laboratory Experiments Remotely’.

e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (e-YIC 2020-21)
Final Year students of EEE, Kolappan C, Kavikumaran R, Gopi
Ananth G, and Lingesh L received the bronze medal in Department of EEE
e-Yantra Innovation Challenge (eYIC 2020-21) conducted by
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on 30th and 31st July,
2021. The team developed a hardware prototype called the
“Disinfecting Rover '' addressed Disaster Management, and Project Exhibition
was mentored by Dr. M. Sathiyanathan, Assistant Professor This project, led by Mr. Ravikrishna S, Assistant Professor
(Senior
(Senior Grade). More than 300 teams from various parts of (Senior Grade), came out on the top of a 13-team
country participated in the competition. Professors from competition, at the iTech Project Exhibition on December 22,

AICTE – ISTE sponsored Faculty development
Programme on “Industry 4.0 and Electric vehicles”
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
organized an AICTE – ISTE sponsored, one-week online
induction / Refresher programme on “Industry 4.0 and
Electric Vehicles” from 17th to 22nd of January 2022. There
were 285 registrations from both engineering and polytechnic
colleges in India, out of which 100 of them were shortlisted.
Online tests were conducted and certificates were issued. The
participants were highly benefitted and they requested for a

restrictions were lifted. One of the many sessions led by experts from different
