Republic Day Celebrations
PSG iTech, celebrated the 73 Republic Day on 26 January 2022

with Wing Commander R Selvaraj (Retd.), Chief Flight Test
Engineer, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited being the Chief Guest.
He unfurled the National Flag. Dr. G Chandramohan, Principal,
expressed his happiness and appreciation that both boys and
girls NCC Units, in collaboration with various other clubs,
worked collaboratively and organized the event successfully in
spite of the pandemic.Wing Commander R Selvaraj, in his
spite
speech, thanked the PSG Institutions for rendering noble and
selfless service to the nation through various activities. He
congratulated the students for their impressive parade. He
shared various painful experiences from his personal and
professional life to explain the struggles encountered by him to
reach his goal of joining the Indian Air Force (IAF) and how it
helped him to render yeoman service to the nation. He also
he
highlighted some of the significant sacrifices made by the Wing Commander R Selvaraj, Dr. G Chandramohan,
freedom fighters to set the country free and requested Principal, Dr. A Kumaravel, Coordinator-Eco club,
everyone to be forever grateful for all those freedom fighters. planting saplings

Later, Dr. P.V.Mohanram, Secretary, PSG iTech, and Ar. K Venkatesh Kumar, Principal, PSG IAP offered their felicitations. The
celebration included cultural events by students from Music and Dance Clubs, tree plantation by the ECO-Club, and special Patti
Mandram by the Tamil Mandram.

International Women’s Day Celebrations
The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of PSG iTech, organized a special lecture on 8 March 2022, International Women’s Day. Chief
th
guest, Mrs. Hemalatha Annamalai, Former Global Chair, TiE Women, Founder and Former CEO, Ampere Vehicles, President and
Patron of Society for Smart E-mobility addressed the gathering on her successful entrepreneurship journey, the various challenges
encountered and the ways to handle challenging situations. The key takeaway was her quote with 8 words for success, “small
beginning, incremental improvement, sustained progress and monumental possibilities”. Dr. G Chandramohan, Principal, in his
prsidential address stated with pride the achievements of women at PSG iTech and the activities carried out by the Women
pre
Empowerment Cell. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various events conducted in line with Women’s day by various clubs
at PSG iTech. The iTech music band also rendered beautiful medleys, while dance club students performed gracefully.
