The First International Conference by
   the      department        of     mechanical
   engineering was conducted on 13th and
   14th March 2020 in association with Fluid
   Control Research Institute (FCRI), Palakkad.
   “Digital Solutions for Sustainable earth”
   was the conference theme. The inaugural
   address
   address of the conference was delivered
   by  Dr.  Swati  Murthy,  Sustainable
   Consultant  from  Tata  Consultancy
   Services.

     The conference had seven keynote
   sessions which were handled by eminent
   speakers from academia and industry. 85
   research papers were presented during
   the  conference  by  the  researchers
   working on sustainability and allied
   research areas. Selected papers will be
   published
   publishedin Lecture Notes in Mechanical
   Engineering (LNME), SPRINGER SERIES,
   indexed by SCOPUS.











      “Triple Helix Ecosystem for Earth, Environment and Energy” (THE3E), organized by the Department of Civil
    Engineering during 18th and 19th March 2020 in association with Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland
    and Deakin University, Australia. The Conference was sponsored by the Department of Science and
    Technology (DST-SERB). Owing to the Covid 19 pandemic, the conference was conducted via online video
    conferencing. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan, Director of CSIR- Central
    Building Research Institute (CBRI).
                                                              The Organizing Secretaries Dr. M. Devasena, Dr. M.
                                                            Arun and Mr. S. Elayaraja, from the department of Civil
                                                            engineering, scrutinized all the 240 abstracts
                                                            submissions with the guidance received from the
                                                            external advisory committee. 120 full papers were
                                                            selected for presentation. 92 papers were finalized
                                                            and were presented during the two days of the
                                                            conference
                                                            conference via online video conferencing. All the
                                                            presented papers were thoroughly examined and the
                                                            required comments were given by all the faculty
                                                            members of the Civil Engineering Department.
