Blood Donation Camp on 06th April 2016
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Society and National Service Scheme (NSS) in association with PSG Hospitals, Coimbatore has organized Blood donation camp in the college premises on 6th April 2016. Dr. P.V Mohanram, Principal, Dr. G. Chandra Mohan, Vice-Principal, inaugurated the camp. On this occasion, Dr. Prasanna N Kumar, MD., Department of Pathology, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMSR) congratulated the students and faculty members for coming forward to organize this event. The various tests have been conducted from the donor's blood by the doctors and nurses from PSG IMSR. After the meticulous screening, the donor's blood have been collected and stored in the specialized equipments. There are 35 donors (Students and Faculty) of PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSGiTECH), have volunteered in this camp for donating blood. Dr. P.V. Mohanram, Principal, extended his sincere thanks to doctors and nurses from PSG IMSR for their constant support and Dr. G. Chandra Mohan, Vice-Principal, congratulated the YRC and NSS team for organizing an event of social benefit and also assured to support for similar events in the days to come. Mr. M. Sathiyanathan, Program coordinator of YRC, Mr. P. Chinnaraj, Program co-ordinator, NSS and Ms. Ms. V. Vilashini, Co-ordinator, NSS are appreciated the initiative taken up by the students of PSGiTECH and also assured to extend support of PSGIMSR for similar activities in the institute in future.
