A workshop on "Online Tools and Systems for Active Learning" was conducted at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research by the Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers Students' Forum (IETE ISF) for all the faculty members on 13th July, 2019 at the CAD Lab in Civil Block at 3.00 pm.
Dr. P. Subbaraj, Dean , Electrical Sciences and Dr. S. Jayakumar, Professor & Head, Department of Physics, welcomed the gathering and threw light on the importance of teaching learning tools.
The Workshop included presentation of three innovative tools that will augment the teaching learning process with hands on demonstration. Ms. D. Archana, Assistant professor, ECE introduced the Socrative tool and demonstrated it. Mr. C. P. Shabariram, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), CSE rendered an informative presentation on how to create Moodle quiz and the various formats. Dr. C.S. Subhash kumar, Associate professor, EEE conducted an interactive quiz session using the Kahoot! tool.
Later, the presenters were honored and Dr.T.Hamsapriya, Professor & Head, ECE proposed the Vote of thanks.
The workshop was very useful for the faculty and it has been planned to employ the tools in forthcoming classroom sessions.
