Drawing & Painting Club
About the Club:

    The Drawing and Painting club provides an ideal platform to showcase the artistic talents of young minds. It also offers an environment for artists at all levels to converge and express themselves through various forms of art. It is also planned to organise workshops and trips to the art galleries and museums, thereby kindling the interest of students in the areas of arts and design.

Drawing and Painting Club (Tulika:) conducted the Onam Poo Kolam contest as a part of the Virtual Onam Celebrations from 18th August, 2021 to 24th August, 2021. The students of all branches and years and staff members enthusiastically participated in the celebrations with their hand drawn rangoli and adorned with various items like flowers, leaves, grain, salt, etc.,

The Alpha Art 2k20 was organized by the Drawing and Painting club in order to kindle the artistic talents among the students of PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, during the extended lockdown period of the pandemic COVID-19. It was an Online Instagram Art Contest and the entries were open throughout the month of April (1st April – 30th April, 2020). .

Perspective drawing is a technique used to represent three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional picture plane. The students were exposed to different drawing techniques like One Point and Two Point perspectives.

Chalk Sculpting is a technique of making beautiful miniature carvings using a single chalk piece. The students were able to emboss their names and were able to make chess patterns in this session.

Paper Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The students were provided with quilling needles, quilling paper and they were allowed to make their own designs.
