ISTE(Indain Society for Technical Education) Chapter of PSG iTech
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading national professional non-profit making
society for the technical education system in our country with the motto of career development of
teachers and personality development of students and overall development of their technical skills.
ISTE chapter of PSG iTech organizes various events for holistic technical and non technical development
of its students and faculty.
The major objective of the ISTE is to provide quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of
technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity and to
assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and
technicians needed by the industry and other organisations.
Lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on 18th January 2017
Our association organized a lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) delivered by Dr.Abdul Aleem,
HoD of Civil Engineering. Dr.Abdul Aleem described the necessity and eligibility criteria for
holding such intangible property rights. He furnished the history of Patent law and its amendment
act which was originated in 1970.The patent right for inventor(s) is valid for only 20 years, after
which it becomes a public domain.
LEEDS UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCES Sharing on 10th of August, 2016
A lecture was organized at the E4 seminar hall on the 10th of August, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The session was titled "Leeds University Experiences?. The lecture was on Global Education and the
chief guest was Prof. D. Muralidhar, Training Manger, PSG College of technology and the PSG iTech
students who visited the Leeds University, UK for their 4 weeks internship in their respective fields.
