Eco Club
A group of people who are interested in doing something for the environment can achieve much more than an individual can. Many environmental problems can be solved by changing our view point towards the environment. Eco club promotes discussions on environmental problems and its solutions, invited lectures, environmental protection programmes such as tree plantation, cleaning the polluted sites etc.

DENGUE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN-2017 and Village cleaning drive conducted at Boluvampatti, Coimbatore on 15th October 2017

Dengue is a serious disease which can drastically reduce the immunity of a person by reducing the platelets count in one's body. It can often be fatal. Many cases of deaths have been reported from all around the country, a few from this village, which made us hold the dengue awareness campaign in Boluvampatty.

Over the vision of making the worldwater dayfilled with awareness , a Guest lecture by Dr.C.Buvaneswaran , scientist-F[Institute of forest genetics and tree breeding] on "the conservation of water and forest" was delivered on 22nd March,2017 for the students of Civil engineering and the members of Eco-club at PSG iTech , Neelambur.

A competition on 'Junk Crafts and Life Hacks' was organized on 24th January 2017

The core idea of the event was to encourage students to put their innovative ideas into action to convert waste materials like used water bottles, newspapers and clothes into useful materials. A total of 19 teams participated in the event. The duration of the competition was 1 hr 30 minutes and three faculty members judged the craft works. Dr.P. V. Mohanram, Principal and Dr.G. Chandramohan , Vice-Principal, Dr. M.I. Abdul Aleem, HOD, Dept of Civil Engg visited the hall and saw the craft works made by the students.

One day programme on Environmental conservation and Outdoor activity at Anaikatti, Coimbatore on 25th August, 2016

Feeling one with nature has been the primary objective of the Eco Club of PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research. The Club's continuous efforts to organize Tree Plantation Programmes around the campus, this time shifted its focus to go on a trip to get connected with Mother Nature. Hence, a one-day programme on Environmental Conservation was organized by Eco Club on 25.08.216 at Anaikatti, Coimbatore. The group consists of 249 first year B.E. students, 30 Eco Club members and 20 faculty members were participated. The team was led by Dr. P.V. Mohanram, Principal and co-ordinated by Dr. R. Sivakumar, HoD-Chemistry.
