The inauguration of the Cisco Networking Academy was held on 17-8-2017 at
PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Neelambur, Coimbatore.
The CISCO Networking Academy was inaugurated by Mr. M. Sreevalsan, Head, Cisco Regional Academy Support
Centre (South Zone) in the presence of Shri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions,
Dr.P.V.Mohanram, Principal and Dr.G.ChandraMohan, Vice Principal.
Cisco Networking Academy identifies and develops the skills people and businesses
need to thrive in a digital economy. It provides an exclusive online learning platform
supports active and engaged learning, career development, and collaboration. It provides a
global network of 500+ Academy Support Centres (ASCs) and Instructor Training
Centres (ITCs) guide local academies to success.
An institution is eligible to conduct CCNA certification courses for students by becoming an
academic member of Cisco Networking Academy. CCNA comprises of four modules covering routing
and switching Essentials. The duration of CCNA certification course is two semesters.
Students from second and third year were enrolled in the certification program. To become
a networking academy, a CISCO bundle [comprising of three routers and three switches]
should be purchased. In this regard, a CISCO bundle worth Rs. 5,00,000/- (approx.) has been
purchased by PSGiTech.
