An Industrial visit was organized for the students of II-year Electronics and Communication Engineering from 31st August 2018 to 1st September 2018. 53 students along with 2 faculty members, Dr M. Jayasanthi (Associate professor) and Mr. M. Jothibasu (Assistant professor) of Electronics and Communication Engineering department visited two companies: JVS Electronics, Bangalore and ACE components, Mysore.

At JVS Electronics students gathered detailed knowledge of various relays used in industries. The visit included the preview of control panel components manufactured at JVS Electronics. Then the students and faculty members visited various departments like PCB fabrication, PCB assembling and testing department, etc.

Our prime motto to visit ACE components is to gain knowledge of resistor manufacturing process since resistors are integral part of every electronic circuit. From this visit we all came to know how the resistors are made practically from the scratch. Students gained knowledge about manufacturing process of different types of resistors [half watt, quarter watt] and where they are practically applied.

The visit was successfully arranged with special effort of Mr S Prasanna Venkatesh, Mr S Suganth and Ms C M R Narmatha (student coordinators) under the guidance of HoD of ECE department.
