The department of ECE organized a placement orientation program for final year ECE students on 24.6.2017. The Chief Guest was Mr.Kanagaraju K, Head - Instruments & Sensors Engineering, Engineering Service department, Pricol Corporate Service Limited, Coimbatore.

The session began with the essential aspects regarding placement. The main attributes which help to crack the interviews are confidence, a good overall preparation and communication skills. The entire process is about how well we reflect our personality in a pleasing and impressive way.

The following valuable points were put forward to the students in this session. It is better to be company specific in preparation and have a clarity regarding the same. Aptitude and technical subjects must be thoroughly dealt initially. There is a difference in dealing with technical interview and the HR interview. Technical interview mainly deals with the technical knowledge and skills possessed by the candidate. In order to crack technical round, mastering the subjects is indomitable. The answer must be presented in such a way that it is unique and flawless. Patience and perseverance are the keys to success. The approach towards HR is totally different. In personality test, Interpersonal skills and communication skills play a wide role. Stress questions may be asked to judge the situation handling capability.

In addition to it, this session was highly interactive. All the students posted their questions and an appropriate answer was given to them. Many of them clarified their doubts regarding the placement process. The corporate culture was also discussed in this session. Smart work which helps to withstand in this competitive world was emphasized. On the whole, this session was fruitful and proved to be mindboggling for the students.
