A lecture cum hands-on session on "Exploratory Data Analytics using R" has been conducted on 25.05.2022 as a part of Coder Series by the department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Students' Chapter (TN 366). Totally 48 students of I year BE CSE attended the event. Dr. V. Bhuvaneswari, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Applications, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore handled the session. The speaker gave a detailed overview about the Big data analytics. She also engaged the students to work on R to get the hands on feel. It helped the students to realize the real essence of data analysing. She also described about the language R from the basics and the hands-on session was conducted using R Cloud. Since the first year students were already trained in Python, they felt pretty comfortable with R and also did their hands-on session with complete interest.
